1. (film) The showing of a film in selected cinemas prior to its general release.Examples: "In 2004, Gibson’s roadshow tour for The Passion of the Christ saw him visiting church groups and giving impassioned speeches about the film (which Hollywood studios refused to fund or distribute)."

2. (business) A series of meetings across different cities in which executives from a company have the opportunity to talk with current or potential investors.Examples: "I thought Equity had a pretty quick and easy way of illustrating what happens when a company decides to go public: from the pitch, to the due diligence, to the pricing, to the roadshow."
